• Day 1 – Workshop (Friday, December 1st, 2023) consists of a written / performance review. Check-in for the workshop begins at 12:30 p.m. Students can expect to be finished at approximately 5 p.m.
• Day 2 – Test (Saturday, December 2nd, 2023) includes the 60-minute written exam, followed by the performance (hands-on) exam. Check-in for the test begins 15 minutes prior to your assigned session. The test times will begin at 6:30 a.m, 8:15 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 10:45 a.m. (if required), the test times will be assigned during the workshop weekend. Those that do not attend the workshop will be assigned a time and it will be communicated via email, at the email that was used for registration, the week of the exam. The doors will be locked at the aforementioned those times and those that are late will not be allowed to take the exam.
• Pricing: Includes the review, CP-1 (or CP-1S Spanish) workbook, hands-on practice, and exam.
• Meals: Lunch is provided during the workshop.
• Physical Strength Requirement: You must be able to lift at least 45 lbs when performing unit weight and roller meter tests. No exceptions without a valid doctor’s note stating that you are not able to lift 45 lbs.
• PPE: Steel or composite-toed shoes, long pants, safety glass and gloves are REQUIRED.
• A valid ID is required on the day of the test. The ID will be held until the Examinee completes and turns in their test(s) booklet/answer sheet.
• Lodging: If traveling from out of town the hotels at this link are located near our facility.

  • Outside the Greater Houston Area: Workbooks can be mailed via FedEx at no additional cost. However, you must coordinate shipment of the workbook by emailing us at [email protected].
