  • Location: The workshop and exam will be held in the training room at the following location: 
    ACI Houston Office 
    3900 Claymore Park Drive #160
    Houston, Texas 77043 
  • Workshop (Friday, December 5, 2025) consists of a written / performance review. Check-in for the workshop begins at 12:30 p.m., Students can expect to be finished at approximately 5 p.m. 
  • Test (Saturday, December 6, 2025) includes the 60-minute written exam followed by the performance (hands-on) exam. Check-in for the test begins at 6:15 a.m. The doors will be locked at 6:30 a.m. and those that are late will not be allowed to take the exam. 
  • Pricing: Includes the review, CP-3 workbook, hands-on practice, and exam. Books will not be mailed. However, arrangements can be made for pick-up, email  [email protected] to arrange a book pickup.  
  • Physical Strength Requirement: You must be able to lift at least 45 lbs when performing unit weight and roller meter tests. No exceptions without a valid doctor’s note stating that you are not able to lift 45 lbs. 
  • PPE: Steel or composite-toed shoes, long pants, safety glass and gloves are REQUIRED.  
  • A valid ID is required on the day of the test. The ID will be held until the Examinee completes and turns in their test(s) booklet/answer sheet. 
  • Lodging: If traveling from out of town the hotels at this link are located near our facility.

  • Interpreters: While we do not provide interpreters, we do have examiners that speak Spanish and Farsi that are able to assist with questions. Please make sure you annotate this on your registration.

  • Workbook Pickup / Shipping Policy: 
    • Greater Houston Area: Workbooks may be picked up at the Terracon Office Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at:

    • Outside the Greater Houston Area: Workbooks can be mailed via FedEx at no additional cost. However, you must coordinate shipment of the workbook by emailing us at [email protected].
